Gary E. Lane, M.D., F.A.C.S
General Surgery, Robotic, Thoracic and Vein Surgery
Dr. Gary Lane received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1987. He graduated from Rosland Franklin University of Health Sciences/ The Chicago Medical School in 1991. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Michigan State University at Saginaw Michigan in 1996.
Dr. Gary Lane has been treating varicose veins since the start of his training in 1991. As a result of his wound care practice, Dr. Lane renewed his interest in treating varicose veins to help with the healing of chronic venous stasis ulcers and severe vein disease. Dr. Lane founded the Pueblo Vein Center at Corwin Clinic Surgical, PC in 2004. The mission of the Pueblo vein Center is to give each patient individualized compassionate care for their vein problems. Dr. Lane has remained active in a full spectrum vein practice that includes treatments for the largest most diseased veins to the smallest superﬁcial cosmic veins.
Dr. Gary Lane enjoys sharing his practice with his wife Renee Lane RN, ANP. Together they have access to multiple methods to treat vein disease including Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT), Radiofrequency vein treatment (RFA) and in ofﬁce hook phlebectomy. In addition, cosmetic spider veins can be treated with a combination of 1064 nm cosmetic laser treatments and various sclerotherapy options enabling them to individualize treatments for each and every patient.
Renee Lane, MS, RN, ANP
Renee received her bachelor’s in nursing at Rush University in Chicago, IL, and her master’s in nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
When she and her husband, Dr. Lane, went to the International Vein Congress meeting in 2004, they caught the vision of offering comprehensive vein treatments. In January 2009, she added the Lyra I 1064 laser to have another tool to remove unwanted veins. In September 2017, she upgraded to the newest advanced cosmetic laser technology, the Cutera Xeo Laser for various cosmetic treatments in addition to spider veins. She takes the time to understand the goals and priorities of her clients to personalize treatment. Renee also enjoys the opportunity to offer a free screening to all vein patients. Renee feels that having time to get to know each person and share applicable information helps everyone to feel informed and comfortable with the treatment plan.
Ruth Drury, RVT
Ruth has been practicing Vascular Ultrasound since 1996. She spent the first 16 years in her home state of Michigan in a large Vascular Surgery practice. This practice also involved an in hospital Vascular Lab allowing for care of inpatients as well as outpatients, performing all levels of Vascular Ultrasound and also varicose vein mapping and endovascular laser treatment. In 2012, she took her skills to Australia where she worked for a large group practice that allowed her to perform all aspects of Vascular Ultrasound in many locations throughout the city of Perth. Ruth has been with Dr. Lane and the Pueblo Vein Center since 2016.
Esther Lopez, CCMA
Esther has been a certified Medical Assistant through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) since 2014. She took pleasure in being in Family Medicine before coming to work with Dr. Lane in 2015. She has been in the medical field since 2016. Prior to becoming a MA she was a certified phlebotomist. Esther enjoys helping to schedule and assist with vein procedures when needed. Please feel free to call Esther anytime with questions.
